PowerPop Onboarding & Installation Guide
This guide walks new users through installing the Powerpop tracking script on their website. This replaces the old process—no more creating customers or campaigns first.
Users now begin with account onboarding/registration, then immediately install their tracking snippet.
1. Overview
Powerpop requires a small JavaScript snippet to be added to your website.
This script loads the Powerpop tracking library and enables automatic tracking of user engagement, events, and conversions.
2. Installation Steps
Step 1: Add the tracking snippet to your site
Copy and paste the script into the <head> section of your website’s HTML:
<script>
!function(e,r,t,o,p){e.PowerPopObject=p,e[p]=e[p]||function(){(e[p].q=e[p].q||[]).push(arguments)};
var a=r.createElement(t);a.async=1,a.src=o;
var n=r.getElementsByTagName(t)[0];n.parentNode.insertBefore(a,n)}
(window,document,"script","https://sc.powerpop.ai/loader/[YOUR-ID-HERE]","powerPop");
</script>
Why the <head> ?
Placing the script in the <head> ensures Powerpop loads early and can track all user engagement from the moment a visitor enters the page.
Step 2: Select your event or ecommerce data source (optional)
After installing the script, choose where Powerpop should read your event or ecommerce data from.
This configuration can be adjusted in the dashboard at any time.
3. What Happens After Installation
Once the script is installed:
- Powerpop automatically begins tracking user engagement.
- No further setup is required to start receiving insights.
- You can create campaigns or flows whenever you’re ready—but it is no longer required before installation.
This onboarding flow ensures new users can start collecting data immediately after registration.
Summary
- This is part of the new user onboarding/registration process.
- Installing the tracking script is the first required step.
- Customer/campaign creation is no longer needed to receive your tracking snippet.
- Users can start collecting data immediately after installation.
